Date Night Idea

Need a fun date night idea that doesn't break the bank?  Try this fun activity that will bring back childhood memories of clue hunts. :)

We started at one of our favorite deal-finder stores, Kohls, and set a limit on the secret "treasure" that we could buy for each other at $10. (you can go lower and still do pretty well if you look long enough :)

I got Nicole some love themed fridge magnets and a piece of fashion jewelry and she bought me a snappy dress shirt.  (of course we kept that a secret till the end of the game)

We had fun thinking up the clues and trying to creatively rhyme the riddles, then we each packaged up our clues and prepared to hide them.

I found these nifty build-your-own printable mini envelopes in Microsoft Word for my clues.

Nicole made some colorful scrolls for her clues.

I know I felt like this was a bit silly for two adults to do, but trust me, it was a ton of fun and we had a great time laughing and searching the house for our next clue.

It's memories like these that I will remember for the years to come.

Do you have any favorite date night ideas?  We would love to hear them!

  2. Love the idea! With six kiddos, dates now have a whole new definition to us, but this is a great one to stick in the files for sometime in the future!
