Baby Shower Recap

This past Saturday, I was generously showered with so 

many gifts and I came away feeling so very blessed.

We have went with nautical theme for Keegan's nursery 

(which we hopefully should be posting pictures of next week)

and my mother-in-law continued with that for the baby shower.

Everything was decorated so beautifully; looked like something

straight off of Pinterest! :)

If you know me, than you know my slight obsession with mason jars;

so combined with nautical...I was in heaven! ;)

Our Sunday School

Every week, Nicole and I have the honor of teaching these 3-5 yr olds lessons from the Bible, fun songs and games.  I think one of the best parts about teaching, is that sometimes, as the teacher, I feel like I am learning just as much from them as they are from me.

What a joy it is to serve in this class!

Bridal Showers

Okay so I know this is way late, as we have almost been married a month, but

I wanted to share some pictures from both of my bridal showers.

The first one was hosted by my wonderful mother-in-law at my new 

church in Bourbonnais, IL.

The ladies of the church were very gracious and generous.   I had

a wonderful time and received so many lovelies for our apartment.

My lovely mother and I, who just days before this shower was diagnosed with cancer.

Doesn't her smile come from within?

I  love her dearly and respect her even more so after seeing her battle cancer

and endure radiation the last couple of months.

My second shower was at my home church and was hosted by another strong lady

who is battling cancer.  She did an absolutely wonderful job and added so 

many extra lovely touches making it very special. 

I was completely surprised to see my sister Brooke, who drove 7 hours from Ohio to attend

my shower.  Having her there meant so very much to me.

Even Liz was able to attend my shower via Skype!  :)

So thankful to have two church families, God has truly blessed me!
